long-acting nitrates: Similar to nitroglycerin but are longer acting and can limit the occurrence of chest pain when used regularly over a long period.

magnetic resonance angiography (MRA): This technique uses magnetic waves to produce a 3-D image of your coronary arteries, which a doctor can check for areas of narrowing or blockages, although the details may not be as clear as those provided by an angiogram.

nitrates: Nitrates are used to treat the chest pain associated with angina and to ease the symptoms of congestive heart failure (CHF).

nitroglycerin: Widens the coronary arteries, increasing blood flow to the heart muscle and relieving chest pain.
